Levi Wingo is an executive leader with more than 24 years of experience in the food retail industry, driven by a passion for bringing healthy foods to communities and creating meaningful opportunities for team members to grow into leaders. Having joined Raley’s as a courtesy clerk in 2002, Levi has built his career from the ground up—advancing through store operations, leading the development of the innovative Market 5-ONE-5 concept as general manager, and serving as a key contributor to the creation of Raley’s O-N-E Market (Organics, Nutrition and Education) better-for-you store banner. He went on to lead all store operations for Raley’s as Senior Vice President of Operations for seven years, overseeing more than 120 stores across California and Nevada. Over the last 2 years, Levi has served as Senior Vice President of Product & Merchandising Innovation for The Raley’s Companies, where he led enterprise product innovation, private brands, centralized manufacturing, construction, maintenance, and pharmacy.
Today, Levi serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Merchandising Strategy leading enterprise sales and merchandising initiatives, private brands, innovation, and pharmacy. He is also the General Manager of AJ’s Fine Foods in Arizona. In these roles, Levi champions innovation, quality, health, creativity, and consistency across one of the West’s most respected regional grocery retailers.
Levi holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Cal State University, East Bay. He is a graduate of the USC Food Industry Management Program and earned a Master’s in Food Industry Leadership from the USC Marshall School of Business. His deep commitment to education is a hallmark of his leadership—he is a passionate advocate for investing in people and mentors team members to achieve their full potential through learning and professional development.
Levi is proud to serve on the Board of the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC) as the Education Chairman, a role that reflects his lifelong belief in the transformative power of education. In this capacity, he works to expand learning opportunities, strengthen workforce development programs, and help food industry professionals across the industry reach their full potential.
Outside of work, Levi and his husband, Joey, live in Roseville with their daughter, Victoria, and two dogs, Mable and Howard. He also serves on the board of the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus.
